Homemade Almond Milk

Whenever possible I like to make my own almond milk. It can be whipped up in a matter of minutes and tastes so much better. My recipe involves a Vitamix blender. But no worries if you don’t have one….you can use your own blender just be sure to soak the almonds and dates, separately, overnight in a bowl of water.

Enjoy almond milk on its own, in your coffee or pour it over your cereal.

3 1/2 cups of water
1 1/2 cups of raw almonds
3 dates
A dash or two of cinnamon (optional)

Place all ingredients into the Vitamix blender.

Turn machine on and slowly increase speed from Variable 1 to Variable 10, then to High.
Blend for 3 minutes or until desired consistency is reached.

Note: Once desired consistency is achieved, you can strain the almond milk through a cheese cloth or flirtation bag.

    • Yes, I have read and heard of many people using their food processors to make almond milk. Although, I have personally never tried it. Be sure to soak the almonds and dates overnight in water. Let me know how it turns out! Enjoy!
