Spring is here! So it’s time to clean the house, update the decor and our wardrobe. We have all been waiting for the double digits in the temperature to arrive. The following items are all refreshing and will be sure to brighten your day.
I know I have said this in previous posts before “that it’s cold outside“, but this time I mean it when I say it’s bloody cold as hell out there!!! -40 with the wind chill! Come on mother nature!!! Now that’s extreme!
Stay warm this winter with the following essentials!!!!!!
These leg warmers from Roots are adorable!
Chill out at home with these Granny Slipper Socks and keep your feet warm and toasty.
Run home from work and cuddle up with your loved one under this wool throw. When it’s this cold out its expected to sit back and relax on the couch!
And while you’re sitting there under that blanket you best be enjoying something warm. Kusmi Tea is a great treat, try the detox one – we all know we could all go for a little detox after the holiday indulgence.
Oh and what comes with cold weather? Yup, SNOW. Oh the joys of shoveling snow….NOT! Yes, shoveling snow is a great workout, but it also leaves you with sore muscles thereafter. Especially, when you got to go outside a few times a day. Apply this heat rub to the affected areas and your pain will be sure to go away.
Apply Keihl’s lip balm throughout the day. Our puckers get super dry and chapped with the winds and cold weather.
Our poor skin needs to be protected and hydrated at all times in the winter months. This body oil is a bit $$$, but it’s worth every penny.
Since we are on the topic of splurging – ya Canada Goose costs a lot, but your hands will be thanking you for the protection and warmth. These down-filled mitts are going to keep your hands dry all winter season!
This year’s resolution is going to be about organizing and making my house feel more like a home. In order to achieve this goal I’m going to have to declutter (a lot) and add some sparkle to my place.
I think the following items will help me achieve my goal.
D.I.Y painting project! How stunning would this pattern look in your home.
1. Blackberry Farm– luxury resort on a farm – I dig this place
5. A Year in Cupcakes – I love this idea – you’re all set, no more running around last minute
6. Whity Wine Tags – haha how many times have we used these lines before?!
7. Slouchy Hat – I love my hats
What better way to start off a wish list than with a gold wishbone bottle opener.
I heart these french hook earrings from J. Crew
Or better yet these Burgundy earrings by Eric Beamon.
The days are getting colder-therefore sweaters are a must to keep you warm throughout the season. I’m really enjoying this vintage inspired print.
Noble Maple Syrup mmm gourmet lovers check out this handcrafted maple syrup packaged in a bourbon bottle.
Do you want to enhance the flavour to your favorite cocktail? Then add some Basement Frost Bitters. Literally packaged in a basement on a farm in New York.
Brrrrrrr….we got some snow on the ground last night and today, and the temperature has dropped dramatically!
All you want to do now is have a hot beverage on hand, at all times, and you want to dress in the most comfy layered outfits.
Which brings me to my Wish List Wednesday items!
I have wanted these Santa mugs for a while!
Nom..Nom..Nom..cookies!!! Earl Gray tea cookies may I add! I’m going to add these to my recipe list.
I love everything about this outfit! All from Roots.
Another great outfit from Roots.
Serve this gourmet hot chocolate from Godiva in the Santa mugs above!
I hope the above items keep you warm throughout this frigid weather.
Have you been noticing the new colour combo of gold and white lately? Are you hearting it as much as I am?
I was never a fan of gold until recently. I think you acquire a liking to it like dark chocolate after a certain age.
The combo is modern, elegant and classic, in my opinion.
If you are still not convinced you like the duo, here are some items that may change your mind.
